Sofia Mohamed
Program Coordinator
Sofia serves as the TRIO UB/UBMS Program Coordinator, supporting high school students in Oglethorpe, Clarke, and Madison Counties. She is from Clarkston, Georgia, and speaks several languages, including Somali, Urdu, Hindi, and Kutchi. Sofia is a University of Georgia alumna with a B.A. in International Affairs, a minor in International Human Rights and Security, and a certificate in Global Health.
As a TRIO alumna herself, Sofia believes deeply in the power of TRIO programs and the impact they can have on students’ lives. She is passionate about helping young people recognize their potential, access opportunities, and reach their fullest potential in higher education and beyond.
