About
Bulldog Basics is a campus-wide initiative that collects donations to provide toiletry and personal care items through an online store to UGA students on the Athens campus. We strive to be a personal care resource for students to meet their basic needs.
Our History
- March 2016 – Launched as The Hygiene Closet with one anonymous grab and go location on the Athens Campus.
- Spring 2017 – Name change to Bulldog Basics to better reflect our service to the entire Athens campus and expanded to five grab and go locations.
- March 2020 – COVID-19 impacted our service model so we created a temporary online Microsoft ordering form for students to access Bulldog Basics through a non-contact process.
- September 2020 – We collaborated with Management Information Systems students to launch an eStore with three Athens campus pick-up location options.
Our Core Values
- Accessibility – We aim to provide all students with easy access to personal care items.
- Awareness – We educate students on the resources available to help them thrive.
- Confidentiality – We ensure anonymity in our online ordering and pick-up process.
- Simplicity – Our eStore allows for students to order what they, when they need it.
How to Order
