UGA students visit Delta for career site visit

A group of students pose at Delta Headquarters during a UGA career site visit

Twenty-six University of Georgia students visited Delta Air Lines headquarters in Atlanta on March 6 for an immersive career site visit, gaining firsthand insight into one of the world’s largest airlines.

During the visit, students explored career opportunities, toured Delta’s facilities, and connected with University of Georgia alumni currently working at the company, who hosted the visit and spoke about Delta’s co-ops, internships and an MBA program.

Alumni included Hudson Tsay, project manager for SkyMiles Global Airline Partnerships; Carter Marks, project leader for the SkyMiles program; and Grace Kerner, senior analyst in Revenue Management.

Students also heard from Allison Ausband, Delta’s executive vice president and chief people officer, who shared her journey from her time as a UGA student to starting her career as a Delta flight attendant and eventually advancing to an executive leadership role.

Many of the students enjoyed connecting with these UGA alumni during the trip. “They were all amazing and truly there to help the students. I think the interactions today say a lot about the UGA culture and Delta as a company,” said Diana Calderon, a student participant.

The visit also prompted students to reflect on key skills needed for career growth. “The importance of confidence and resilience in the beginning stages of your career, as well as when you are trying to progress in your career,” said Selest Kok, a student participant.

The Delta Career Caravan was sponsored by the Office for Student Success and Achievement’s Presentation Collaboratory in partnership with the UGA Career Center.

OSSA previously hosted a career site visit to Coca-Cola headquarters in Atlanta in October 2025. The program is part of an ongoing effort by UGA’s Career Center to connect students with industry leaders and provide real-world career exposure.
