Thrive at Georgia: Bulldog Bridge

Thrive at Georgia: Bulldog Bridge is an exclusive opportunity for select scholars July 25-August 1 to help foster a smooth transition from high school to college. Students will have the opportunity to form academic and social networks vital for success, refine skills for academic effectiveness, and learn to successfully navigate campus. Through this weeklong experience, scholars will learn about research, leadership, innovation, and campus involvement.
Cost
All expenses, including housing and meals, are covered. Your only cost will be traveling to and from campus.
Schedule
Thrive at Georgia: Bulldog Bridge is a collaborative program led by the Office for Student Success and Achievement, a unit within the Office of Instruction, in partnership with University Transitions, a unit within Student Affairs.
Kick off the experience with Dawg Camp, where you’ll build early connections to UGA’s campus, the Athens community, and each other. Then, you’ll engage in hands-on learning, career exploration, and self-reflection activities designed to launch your college journey with purpose.
By the end of the program, students are prepared to:
- Thrive academically
- Grow personally
- Optimize their UGA experience from day one

- Experience: Choose from several options including a global engagement expo, veterinary farm visit, and greenhouse visit

Get equipped with the tools to maintain your mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
- Learn: Campus resources available to you, goal setting, motivation
- Experience: Workshops and activities including rock climbing, a challenge course, fitness demos, a scavenger hunt
- Social: Choose from several options including a wellness workshop, cooking class, or yoga session

Career Exploration and Professional Development
Map your future with career planning and networking opportunities.
- Learn: Financial literacy, professional exploration, career readiness
- Experience: Resume and LinkedIn masterclass, mock interviews, career center
- Social: Bulldog Networking Night closing dinner with alumni, faculty, and staff
